22 Sept 2012 - An Evening of Nazrul Geeti by Mrs. Nasima Shaheen Fancy at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre at Gulshan, Dhaka

Indira Gandhi Culture Centre, Dhaka in association with the State Bank of India in Bangladesh and Channel i as Media Partner, is organising an Evening of Nazrul Geeti by eminent exponent, Mrs. Nasima Shaheen Fancy, at 6:30 PM on September 22, 2012 at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, H.No. 35, Road No. 24, Gulshan-1.

Being initiated to music at an early age, Mrs. Nasima Shaheen Fancy, successfully completed training in Nazrul Geeti and Classical Music from the prestigious Chhayanaut in 1988 and subsequently has been imparting Nazrul Sangeet lessons at Chhayanaut since 1990. She is an enlisted artist of repute at the Bangladesh Radio and Television and is a regular performer for different TV channels of Bangladesh and Tara Muzik of India.

Mrs. Shaheen has released several music albums, most notably, Pathik Eshecho Naaki - a collection of Nazrul songs in 2002, Ke Tumi Aamare Dako - a collection of memorable Bengali songs in 2003, Sajher Pakhira - a collection of Nazrul songs in 2006, Aakashe Bhorer Tara - a collection of Nazrul songs in 2007, Keno Phirey Geyle - a collection of Bengali Modern songs in 2009 and Eki Shure Tumi Gaan Shunale - a compilation of Nazrul songs in 2010.
