August 4, 2010 -Visit of Finance Minister of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, to Bangladesh on August 7, 2010
 
Finance Minister of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, would visit Bangladesh on August 7, 2010 at the invitation of Hon’ble Foreign Minister of Bangladesh.

During his visit, Shri Pranab Mukherjee would meet with H.E. Dr. Dipu Moni, Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Affairs and H.E. Mr. A.M.A. Muhith, Hon’ble Minister for Finance, and call on H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

The Finance Minister of India will witness the signing of the US$ 1 billion Line of Credit agreement by CMD, EXIM Bank of India and Secretary, Economic Relations Division(ERD) of Bangladesh. It may be recalled that the Prime Minister of India had announced a US$ 1 billion line of credit to Bangladesh for a range of projects, including railway infrastructure, supply of BG locomotives and passenger coaches, procurement of buses, and dredging projects during the path breaking visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh H.E. Sheikh Hasina to India in January 2010. Signing of the Agreement would pave the way for implementation of mutually identified infrastructure development projects in Bangladesh.
