High Commission of India, Dhaka October 01, 2005 PRESS RELEASE ____________________ Text of the Statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, on the DG, BDR's allegation on August 17, 2005 blasts: "Government of India is deeply shocked and dismayed at the remarks made to the press by the visiting Director General of Bangladesh Rifles today alleging that some persons had gone across from India and were involved in the serial bomb blasts that took place in Bangladesh on August 17, 2005. This is a baseless and scurrilous allegation and is all the more shocking because it has been made against a friendly country and particularly after the two countries have had useful and constructive talks between the Bangladesh Rifles and Border Security Force."
