Places to Visit
- Beaches Kovalam has a small, curving beach, with mainly black sand, which sometimes shifts to get streaks of white.
- Hillstations Kedarnath: Around May last year we decided to travel through the northern hills to Haridwar and Kedarnath, both sacred places for Hindus. It turned out to be a tiring, thrilling and memorable experience.
- Cities Thrissur: The greatest tourist attraction of this insignificant town, is the colourful celebration of Pooram, when elephants of the Thiruvambadi and Paramekkavu temples turn out in their ornate robes.
- Nature Encounters with birds and beasts One Saturday in winter, we set off for K Gudi, a wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka. It promised us tents, treks, a jeep safari, fresh open air and wild animals.
